The clarity of the display of our device matters a lot. Smartphone is all about display, the large touch screen view is rather a welcoming tool to appeal to our curiosity. Xiaomi do make good phones, even though from the biggest to the smallest, the MIUI they run are nearly the same.
There are little to no difference between high-end and low-end Xiaomi smartphones in terms of software. Android version may vary, but the functionality of the phone rely so much on the MIUI version the phone runs. For instance, MIUI 13 is the latest, but it can be found on some Xiaomi phones with Android 11 and Android 12.
MIUI 13 does not bring much changes in term of software, but the overview is encouraging. Back to the question, what color scheme are you using? The color scheme can be found under Settings -> Display. There are three main presets, Vivid, which is enabled by default, then Saturation and Standard.
According to Xiaomi, Vivid is the recommended choice - it adjust color based on the content displayed. Saturation over saturate colors, while Standard is for those that are interested in true sRGB color space. On my phone, I use Vivid, the color is vibrant even though the screen is LCD and not OLED.
There is an option to change the color temperature too, there are four presets in this segment: default, cool, warm, and custom. In addition to Vivid, I chose warm color temperature preset to make pictures not appear too blueish. All of these settings can be found on any Xiaomi smartphones as long as it is running MIUI.
