TVs are a must in every household as they pull us straight in into every available entertainment on the world stage. From movies to cartoons to drama, we get our eye drawn in every direction towards the act, action, and friction behind every episode.
TVs are great asset and a must for every household. Finding the right one for ones need may be difficult as there are lots of options available when purchasing one. We have LED TV and we have Smart TV; what are the differences between the two?
Foremost, the main difference between a standard LED TV and a Smart TV is that the former does not require internet to connect to a live station while the later does. LED TVs are mostly generic and can only connect to Analog TV channels/stations.
Smart TVs on the other hand, can connect to Digital TV stations that broadcast over the internet. The most common smart TVs runs Android TV (OS), which comes pre-installed with dedicated apps like YouTube TV, Disney Plus, and Netflix, something you'll not find on normal LED TVs.
Moreover, an active subscription is required to watch a Smart TV, whereas a normal LED TV requires nothing of such before you can watch a nearby terrestrial television station. Apart from the differences in their operating system and software, their technical specs most of the time are nearly the same.
Both LED and Smart TVs usually have nearly the same technical specs, some of which are curved or flat screen, HDMI ports, USB ports, speakers, antenna in, and lots more. In summary, their major difference is their software and the type of TV broadcast (analog or digital) they can connect to.
