How to take black and white portrait photo on Xiaomi phones

Whether you are using an entry-level Xiaomi smartphone or one of their flagship, the thing is they all come with front and rear cameras for taking pictures. Although their camera specs differ from one product to another, they all tend to capture a beautiful picture depending on the experience and the expertise of the person taking the picture.

Portrait mode has a dedicated tab on all Xiaomi smartphone camera UI, where users can take either front or rear pictures in portrait style. Effects can be added and you can apply some filters to make the picture captured unique. It's pretty easy to understand camera features of Xiaomi as they are not so complex (unless you use pro mode).

However, I'm not here to talk about how to take picture using your Xiaomi smartphone but how to take black and white portrait picture. To do this, kindly follow the steps below:

1. Launch the camera app

2. Tap portrait on the bottom menu to apply portrait mode

3. Tap the little star below the picture frame

4. Select filter

5. Look for "B&W" among the filters and apply

6. Take the picture
